November 1 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the lighter half of the year and the beginning of the darker months. Across the world, different traditions, including Día de los Muertos in Mexico, All Saints’ Day and Halloween, mark this special time of year in their own ways.
Traditionally, Samhain is a time when the veil between the worlds is believed to be at its thinnest. It is a time to honour our ancestors, remember loved ones who have died, and reflect on the changing seasons and the natural cycle of life.
We warmly invite you to join us at The Fold on Sunday 1 November at 6:30pm as we come together to mark the turning of the year, welcome the slower rhythm of the darker months, and remember those who are no longer with us.
You are welcome to bring something that connects you to a person or animal you would like to remember. This might be a photograph, a treasured object, a poem, or simply a memory you wish to hold close. We hope to create a gentle space where there is room for remembrance, for grief, and for gratitude for the lives that have touched our own. There is no expectation to share unless you would like to.
We’ll be sharing a warming pot of food made with seasonal vegetables grown here on our farm. If you’d like to bring something to add to our shared meal, you’re very welcome to, but there’s absolutely no obligation.
This is a free community celebration, although donations towards the food are always appreciated.
We’ll be gathering outdoors, so please wrap up warmly and dress for the weather. If it rains, we’ll take shelter in our Market Barn.
Children and dogs are warmly welcome, and we look forward to sharing this special evening with you.
