We’ll also be building mammal shelters\, finishing a new sitting area at the lake\, and other fun projects. \nIt’s hands-on\, rewarding work—and always full of good company! DESCRIPTION:Join our community gathering to celebrate Lughnasadh\, sometime known as Lammas. \n\nWe’ll talk about what the festival meant to ancient peoples and how we can connect with the energy of the seasons in our own lives today\, along with some inner journeying to experience the sacredness of this time of year. \n\nThe evening starts at 6:30pm. We’ll offer a simple meal of rice and vegan stew (with fresh veggies grown right here on the farm!) You are welcome to bring something to share but it’s not required. We’ll then talk about the festival and be lead on a journey of the imagination\, following up with songs and merriment. \n\nThere is no cost but we gratefully accept donations from those who can afford it. \n\nPart or all of the gathering may be held at our fire circle down in Holywell\, in amongst the orchard trees. \n\nPLEASE BRING:– A bowl/plate and cutlery plus a mug (we have some but not enough for everyone)– Something to eat for sharing– Clothing for outdoors if weather looks amenable \n\nCommunity is at the heart of The Fold and we would love to share this special festival with you.

From there\, the pace slows as we transition into deep Yin postures\, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to soften. \nExpect mindful movement\, grounded breathwork\, and time to pause – supporting both physical release and a sense of emotional and mental ease. This is a space to let go of effort\, drop out of the busy mind\, and create space for what’s next. \nSuitable for all levels\, this class isn’t about pushing or perfecting poses. It has a universally flattering balloon/barrel style leg shape which is loose and forgiving so no nightmares with fitting. \nThis course is suitable for absolute beginners. We will go through all the techniques needed and you will be given support at every stage in the construction from choosing your size\, cutting out\, sewing together and finishing seams. \nThe cost of this course includes a pdf  or paper copy of the pattern. \nWhat to bring?\nMachines\, equipment and elastic will all be provided. You will just need to choose some lovely fabric to make your trousers in. On booking\, you will receive details on what fabric to bring (pre-washed).  No need to bring your own sewing machine (unless you would prefer to). \nPlease note that everyone works at a different rate.
