I studied Nutritional Therapy at Worcester University on a 2-year, Master’s level postgraduate course, accredited by the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission. Originally a research scientist, I obtained my PhD in immunology from Guy’s Hospital, London. Before training as a Nutritional Therapist, I worked as a coach for Ways of Eating – a company specialising in app-based weight loss programs. I am registered with The Complementary and Natural Health care Council (CNHC) for Nutritional Therapy and am a member of The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT).
About Nutritional therapy
Nutritional Therapists recognise that each person is an individual, with unique requirements. They take time to understand your situation and create personalised nutrition plans rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I will work with you to identify the root causes of your health issues and guide you through nutrition and lifestyle changes to allow your body to rebalance. Typical priorities will include support to achieve improved energy levels, healthy blood sugar balance, quality sleep, optimum digestive health and creating a plan that fits your needs.

The process of nutritional therapy, creating and honing a specific plan for you and helping you to implement it, will require a commitment from both of us to spend the time needed to make a lasting change. Thus, rather than booking single consultations, you will embark on a program of two or more consultations at The Fold Natural Therapy Centre together with ongoing support in the form of weekly check-ins by email or instant messaging.
The first meeting will last around 90-minutes and will be principally aimed at gaining a detailed understanding of your current and past health. I will provide some initial recommendations to get you started. After this, I will spend time developing your action plan.
We will meet again about 2 weeks later, when we will discuss your plan and ensure that it fits with your lifestyle, you understand why each element is there and you are happy with the steps involved. I will check in with you weekly to see how you are getting on with the plan and answer any questions or make minor changes as needed.
The number of further weeks of support and follow up consultations will depend on your needs.
