About bowen technique

Originating from Australia, Bowen addresses the body as a whole. A very gentle process, the treatment seeks not to treat symptoms specifically but return the body to balance and allow self healing to occur optimally. Not only addressing the physical pains and restrictions of a client, Bowen is so calming that the body’s sympathetic nervous system responses are reduced, resulting in systemic, emotional and energetic benefits.

Treatments are conducted wearing light, comfortable clothing with the client lay on a couch. This however, can be tailored to the individual depending upon their physical abilities.

Most common presenting conditions : back pain, an uneven /tilted pelvis, neck restriction/pain, ME/Fibromyalgia, difficulties with sleeping, digestive disorders.

Clients have seen marked improvements in the symptoms of: ME, Fibromyalgia, MS, Parkinson’s, Crohn’s, Colitis, IBS, Hormonal conditions, responses to external stresses, depression, hay fever, rhinitis, tinnitus and arthritis.

About julia

With a degree in Human Biology I have always been in awe of the body and it’s ability to heal itself given the right conditions. A trip to Australia in 2007 was the beginning of my relationship with Bowen and my initial training was completed in 2010.  I have recently included Kinesiology (muscle testing) into my practice. I am fully insured and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
