Are you a competent cook who cares where your food comes from and wants to make a difference?

This is an exciting full-time role for someone who can transform home-grown, local, seasonal and organic ingredients into delightful, delicious and nutritious meals for our customers. 

  • Are you interested in the ethos of The Fold?
  • Are you a flexible team player who can work effectively under pressure?
  • Are you happy to work in a theatre style kitchen?
  • Are you able to efficiently produce delicious simple fayre and more sophisticated meals for weddings and functions?
  • Do you like to engage with customers?
  • Have you experience of costings?

We are looking for enthusiasm, flexibility mainly day time but also some evenings. A proven record in a busy catering environment is essential. 

The cafe is at the heart of The Fold and has the great opportunity to influence thousands of people with freshly cooked healthy food that includes free range and organic meat in a predominantly organic vegetarian offer. Our menu is underpinned by local, seasonal, organic and ethically sourced ingredients many coming from the Fold Farm and local suppliers.

 We open during the day seven days a week and hold functions including celebrations of life and some evening events.
