The Fold Care Farm

Giving people a place to grow

What is The Care Farm at The Fold?

Everyone has times in life when they need a bit of extra support. On our Care Farm we currently have one day per week when we welcome adults experiencing mental health challenges, and two days per week where we are joined by adults with learning difficulties. We work together with each participant to find the activities which will enable them to develop confidence, skills and independence, whilst being a part of a real-life farm. We also enjoy a delicious lunch courtesy of the Fold Cafe, made with ingredients our participants have helped to grow and harvest. The meaningful work activities can lead, if they wish, to accredited horticultural or poultry care units.

There is a daily fee for attendance, which can sometimes be covered by a personal care budget. Please contact us for more information.
