A mantra is a sacred word or phrase repeated over and over allowing the vibration of the sound and its meaning to sink into our subconscious impacting the very core of our being. Their use goes back thousands of years to ancient times and the Vedic period in India. They can be considered medicine for the soul along. Similarly, in Sacred Chanting we also precisely articulate and repeat special words with specific sounds creating a powerful energy in the atmosphere and uplifting exuberance in ourselves. In some ways what mediation accomplishes in silence is what chanting and mantras accomplish though sound, waking our emotional centres or chakras and purifying us energetically.
Chosen sensitively and often played with music, they can break the conscious and subconscious boundaries with which we limit ourselves on our journey towards ultimate liberation. They were created from a place of deep understanding and knowing about ones inner nature. Just as a space can be consecrated so sounds can be too.
It will be a wonderful opportunity for you to come and be a part of this sacred space on the evening of the 12th.
