Come and enjoy a wonderful gong sound bath – a sonic massage to relieve tension and stress from mind and body. The sound of the gongs ease the ‘chattering’ mind and allow a deep sense of relaxation to be enjoyed. The tones and frequencies are entrained in the body at the cellar and quantum level restoring harmony and balance and releasing stagnant energy.
Phil has had a life long interest in gongs and has been using them for therapeutic purposes for nearly 10 years. He is a gong tutor for the College of Sound Healing, an author and teacher about the physicality’s of gongs and has been offering gong baths at The Fold for nearly 5 years. He uses up to 6 gongs of various sizes at each session, accompanied by singing bowls, wind chimes and other instruments. Phil is particularly keen that those who are sceptical of alternate therapies come and try gong bath. As he says ‘ I’m both a Man and a Scientist and if I’m prepared to try it, so can others’. Unlike some other gong players, Phil believes in quiet playing of gongs with the occasional brief rise in volume rather than at a constant loud level.
Advanced booking is essential. Note that the College of Sound Healing advises that Sound Therapy is not suitable for women in the first trimester of pregnancy nor people with pacemakers and other therapeutic electronic devices or persons suffering from severe mental health issues due to the vibratory nature of the session.
