The Fold is host to a wide variety of classes that run almost every day of the week, ranging from regular weekly classes to one off or seasonal events. Most classes take place in our Cart House building, situated behind the Fold Cafe. A beautifully restored, 18th century barn complete with stunning oak floor, original beams and a kitchenette and bathroom just off the main room. It has large glass doors and skylights allowing for lots of natural warming light (and it stays pretty toasty in the winter too!)

Yoga

By far the most popular of classes here, we currently have 5 yoga teachers offering up to 12 classes each week. Most take place in the evenings and some during the daytime so there is something to suit everyone. 

Yoga styles include yin, iyengar, vinyasa and even aerial yoga, catering from absolute beginners to the more experienced yogi looking to further their practice. 

Tai chi

Tai Chi is an ancient form of exercise and meditation that has been taught at The Fold for many years. We now have 3 different instructors hosting classes from beginners to intermediate in a variety of different styles. 

Sound baths, pilates, dance and more…

As well as yoga and tai chi, there are several other activities you can get involved in on a weekly or monthly basis. We have a new Tuesday morning pilates class and we have occasional workshops in learning the basics of classical and contemporary Indian dance. 

If you’re looking to completely unwind and shut out the chaos of everyday life, you definitely need to try one of the sound therapy sessions. There are Gong Baths that take place first Wednesday of each month and Sound Baths (mix of gong, crystals, singing bowls) that happen monthly on a Sunday evening.
