I have been practising yoga for 10 years, it is very much part of my life and I am passionate about sharing yoga with the world.
About 4 years ago my practise was revolutionized by the discovery of the work of Vanda Scaravelli and her book “Awakening the Spine”. Her work focuses on combining breath with movement, our vital life source, purifier and connection with spirit. Also on the spine and creating space in the body, on grounding connecting with gravity and allowing the body to release tension as the asanas are practiced. Vanda’s work also applies this ancient practice to our western bodies. Movement in the asanas becomes freer and spacious.
So I went to London’s Moreley college to study for a 3 year btec in the teaching of yoga with tutors who had been lucky enough to work with Scaravelli. The course has been wonderful, a real journey and I have nearly finished.
I have travelled in India many times and studied at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala.
I began teaching yoga a year and a half ago. Teaching has always been my passion; I have taught young people drama for many years. I love to share my knowledge and understanding with others and learn so much from my students too.
Yoga is a gift; a science of the inner world of body and mind consciousness. The word means unity, uniting our mind, body and spirit, creating harmony and balance. It is a great opportunity to undo tension, relax and focus the mind, increase strength and flexibility in the muscles and joints. Yoga can help to keep us young and allows us to find relaxation and peace and a connection with the divine.

I trained at The College of Practical Homeopathy in Dudley, West Midlands from September 2001 until July 2005. My teachers included David Howell, Christopher Hammond, Robert Davidson, Rachel Roberts, Ann Taylor, Len Marlow, Mike Bridgewater, Trevor Gunn and Robert Duddell.
Two years into my study in Homeopathy I also began work as an assistant Homeopath at a therapy centre called Compli-Medicare in Stourport-on-Severn.
I graduated in June 2005 with the qualification of Licentiate of Practical Homeopathy (LCPH) and I became a registered member of The Society of Homeopaths (RSHom).
I also set up my own practice called The Purity Centre of Natural Health in Stourport-on-Severn. In September 2008 I relocated to Culpeper in Worcester until February 2010 and then moved to The Fold at Bransford.
