Why volunteer?
We asked some of our many volunteers why they enjoy volunteering at The Fold! It varies from person to person. One person might be looking to gain more experience in a field they are familiar with , another might be trying something completely different. Others join us to enhance their CV or as a result of ill health or redundancy and some just see it as a great place to start their career. Whatever the reason you're considering becoming a volunteer at The Fold, we'd love to hear from you and talk some more!
We have several volunteering opportunities so please come in for a chat if you are interested:
- Two Admin assistants to help with filling, telephone enquires one day/week
- Café helper to assist with food prep and washing up on Tuesdays, Wed, Th, Fr
- Farm hand to help carry out various physical jobs on the Farm like weeding, pruning, planting, digging, etc. Tue/Wed or Fridays. Need to be physically fit.
- Maintenance supremo to fix the odd bits and pieces on a regular basis min1/2 day/week
- Volunteer Fundraiser to help with researching appropriate funders and write funding applications Computer wizz to assist staff a couple of hours/month
- Book keeping assistant to support our administrator
You will be part of a dedicated team of volunteers supporting the work of the Fold. We cover out of pocket expenses. Lunch provided when volunteering a full day.
