Delny completed four years of classical training at the British School of Homoeopathy and two years at the Dynamis School for Advanced Homoeopathic Studies. She originally trained as an environmental scientist and went on to work internationally first as a university researcher and then as a journalist, writing for industry on environmental issues. She now puts her extensive knowledge of the natural world to use in the selection and prescription of homoeopathic remedies.
Delny is deeply committed to her profession and brings to her practice the discipline of a scientific training and a life-long interest in alternative medicine. Homoeopathy is, for her, the synthesis of science, philosophy and experience into a profoundly effective system of medicine. Almost any condition you might take to a GP can benefit from the homoeopathic approach, even illnesses that have no clear diagnosis - because the individual is treated rather than the disease. Injuries and childhood illnesses respond well to treatment, as do chronic complaints such as ME, menstrual disorders, asthma, IBS, skin problems, anxiety and depression. Homoeopathy can also help during times of grief, stress or change.
Homoeopathic remedies are non-toxic, derived from natural sources and tested on healthy volunteers. They are safe for babies and infants and suitable for situations where conventional drugs would be inadvisable e.g. during pregnancy. They do not interfere with conventional drugs and it is safe to take both at the same time.
