Here is the recipe as it should be:
Cook sliced apples with sugar in butter for 2 mins and then add rind, put in dish.
Beat egg, combine flour & butter, add milk, bring to simmering point, for approximately 2 mins stirring regularly, remove from heat. Add 1oz sugar and beaten egg stir in well and then pour sauce over apples. Mix and sprinkle topping over. Dot with butter. Grill till caramelised.
