I am delighted to say that The Fold won the Sustainable Tourism Award category of the 2012 Worcestershire Welcome Awards in association with Worcestershire County Council. Judging for this category was handled by Katie Bruton and Heather Lammas from the Sustainability Team at Worcestershire County Council.
A big thank you to all our customers who voted for us in order to get us through the first round and to the judging stages. There was a high judging criterion and we only just beat the 'Highly Commended' finalists, but good to know we are walking our talk.

Why not shop local at the Fold? Whether you frequent the cafe, the natural therapy centre, designer-maker/artists or buy the wonderful herbs & vegetables and salad bags from our care farm, when you buy locally and support small local businesses you are supporting your own local economy. It is a more sustainable way to shop.
"The economic recovery starts with buying from small businesses"
We will be open and serving breakfasts 8.30am-11am, Tuesday to Saturdays. Traditional English cooked breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches in true Fold style, using only the finest local organic produce. From 10am-12pm you can order 'Brunch' from our new cook to order menu. See under 'The Fold Cafe' for more details
The Fold at New House Farm, Bransford, midway between Malvern and Worcester on the A4103 Hereford Road, is a refurbished barn and other converted farm buildings. The refurbishment demonstrates sustainable building techniques and materials in action.
The Fold is run as a not for profit community enterprise mixing elements of inspiration, creativity and healing to provide a space away from the commercial norm where members of the public can take time to become who they truly are. If you would you like to get involved, click here.
At the heart of The Fold is The Fold Cafe; a place to meet in a welcoming atmosphere and eat quality food which you can see prepared in an open-style theatre kitchen. The food is local, seasonal, Fairtrade and organic wherever possible. In the café are quiet corners to meet with friends and more communal spaces where you may find yourself unexpectedly involved in a conversation about how to use less electricity or the best way to travel without costing the earth. There are also books, products and information supporting sustainable living.
You may also visit Natural Therapy Centre, where you can choose to take a positive step towards being healthier and happier in your every day life. The Fold Natural Therapy Centre is a centre of excellence for complementary therapies, and would like to work alongside the NHS. We offer a range of beneficial treatments, and also host a series of events and courses throughout the year, which help us to look after ourselves and to feel good about our lives.
We have an exciting range of designers and makers & Artists. There are up to nine designer makers & artists working on site in the open studio/shops producing beautiful crafts and artworks and representing some of the finest British talent. To see a full list of who is on site please click the blue link above.
The Fold also includes a Care Farm which provides meaningful work for people with different support needs growing vegetable, fruit, herbs and cut flowers using natural methods in a safe supporting space.
